🌟 What a Beautiful Day in Perry! 🌟

This past Saturday, we took a leap of faith with our very first "𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬" event—and wow, did Perry show up!

As a pilot program, we had every reason to be a little nervous. There were hurdles and a few challenges lining up against us. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, “𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲.” And just like that, the clouds cleared, the weather turned perfect, and the city came alive.

🎶 Music filled the streets.

🛍️ All our shops opened their doors.

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Crowds from Perry, nearby towns, Iowa, Illinois, and St. Louis wandered through downtown.

🍽️ Valencia's Mexican Restaurant - Perry, MO lunch crowd spilled into the streets, shopping, smiling, and pausing to enjoy the music.

And what music it was—thanks to the amazing talents of 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧, who not only performed with passion but overcame personal medical challenges to be there for us. Your hearts are as big as our town. 🎤💛

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to our "𝐀 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦" 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐂𝐏-𝐄𝐃𝐆, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to plan, set up, welcome visitors, and represent the heart and soul of Perry. You are the reason this event felt like home for everyone who visited.

🙌 A huge shoutout to 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫, who stayed for most of the event, talking with folks, shaking hands, and being the strong, supportive presence our city deserves. As a business owner, community leader, and mom of a big family, your commitment is deeply appreciated.
